First Day of School

I can't believe the first day of school is already here. Summer just seemed way too short this year. But, I am enjoying the quiet as I sit here and blog (Trevor is on the tractor with his dad). My kids were so ready to go back to school, the were tired of each other and they missed seeing their friends on a daily basis.
Sydney started sixth grade. It's crazy, she'll be in Jr. High next year.

Brenna is in the 4th grade.

Cambree is starting Kindergarten. She asked me every 15 minutes this morning if it was time for her to go to school. I hope she is just as excited tomorrow.

Yes, she is wearing a gummy lifesaver around her neck!

July Birthdays

So, I am way behind on blogging. I kept thinking I would get caught up, but just never did. Trevor turned 3 and Brenna turned 9 the second week of July. My only complaint is that I hate baking cakes in July without an air conditioner. I complain every year and I stay up and bake the cake late at night so I don't have to have the oven on in the middle of they day.
Grandma and Grandpa Beatty and Grandma Mathews were in Grace the week before birthdays, so we went to Lava Hot Springs a week early and celebrated there. I guess I should have posted some of the pool pictures, but I didn't. SORRY!

Tonsils!

We decided to have Cambree's tonsils removed after two back to back sore throats. She felt a lot better after taking medication, but her tontils were still really swollen. We were having a lot of puking trouble and doctors thought that maybe here swollen tonsils were causing her tao gag easily. So far, we have gone 3 weeks without puking. I think that just might be a record. I really don't know if we have made it three straight weeks without throwing up over the past 4 years.Cambree showing off her awesome hospital attire.

Being goofy while waiting for her turn

After surgery-- Not quite as happy as before.

Flying!!!

Richard decided he needed a shed in the backyard. His project got a little out of control when he decided to make an upstairs in it so the kids could have a playhouse. (I will post more pics when he has it finished. but it does have stairs and a slide now.) The kids have had fun jumping from the deck to the trampoline. Can't say that I have tried it. Since my nephew hit bottom when he did it, I haven't been brave enough to try. I don't need a sore tailbone.
